Workplace Stress
Definition:
Workplace stress is the body and mind’s natural response to perceived stressful situations within the workplace. It can cause both physical and emotional harm to employees and generally results when there is a conflict between the demands of the job and the amount of control an employee has over those demands. A good “fit” between employee and work responsibilities can help reduce workplace stress, but other management techniques can include clearly defined duties and expectations.
