BOYD, which stands for Bring Your Own Device, is an IT policy which allows employees to access organizational systems using their personal devices such as laptops and tablets. 

Having a BOYD policy is important as it helps the organization to have a balance between managed risk and improved productivity; it is also important to protect the organization’s data and maintain confidentiality.
