Career Path

[kəˈrɪr | pæθ]
Definition:

A career path is the way an employee progresses in their work, which could be either in a series of jobs or a job. This may particularly be specific to individual employees or the workforce more generally, and sets out the opportunities for progression and career development within the business.

Some organisations pave the way for a career path during the employee’s time at the workforce; in other cases, the employee finds their own path, by looking a seeking for other opportunities elsewhere. Employers must however offer their employees an opportunity to venture different departments across the organization in order for them to find the right path for themselves.
