Crowdsourcing

[ˈkraʊdˌsɔrsɪŋ]
Definition:

The use of a large, voluntary community (such as social media) to generate ideas, new products or other contributions, as opposed to using tradition means. For example, crowdsourcing gives organisations the opportunity to save their money and time, and allows them to find people with different thoughts and skills around the world. Some organisations even find potential clients and employees with crowdsourcing.

One of the main advantages of crowdsourcing is the ability organisations have to complete tasks within a shorter period of time; a task that could take an employee more than a week could rather be done in less than a week with crowdsourcing.
