Distance Learning

[ˈdɪstəns | ˈlərnɪŋ]
Definition:

An education delivery method which allows individuals to access materials and submit assessment online or other asynchronous ways, rather than face-to-face delivery. Distance learning is a great asset that many organisations are developing due to the advantage of not having to send their employees to their study centres when enrolled on the course.

Distance Learning allows employers to develop their employees in their various positions which means that the organization will achieve its targets and also give the employee the chance to develop in their career path they have chosen. It also allows the chance for employees to specialise in a particular area.
