Harassment

Definition:

This is persistent behaviour or actions which threatens, intimidates or causes discomfort for other employees in the workplace.Some of the common harassment examples include: comments on an individual’s heritage and religious beliefs, unwelcome sexual offences and discriminatory harassment. Harassment should be addressed with a high level of attention by taking a disciplinary action. 

Employers must ensure that harassment is stopped within the workplace and this is why it is important to put in place an employee harassment policy in order to create a healthy work environment.
