In-House Solution

Definition:

An in - house solution is a software package which has been locally installed on the organization’s IT system. 

Software systems could vary, it could be a customers services system that the organization uses to offer better services for their clients (or customers), it could also be a payroll system that is used. In such cases there is support provided from the vendor if there are any issues with the system; however the organization must ensure that updates are made when needed or if needed, as they are not guaranteed automatically.
