Definition:

This refers to the  process of making training and development processes more attractive to employees, with a focus on understanding how people prefer to learn. It involves an understanding of not just training materials, but the people to whom they will be delivered; instructional design involves the 6 steps:

  • Product initiation
  • Product design
  • Content development 
  • Production
  • Review, publish and evaluate 
  • Evaluating its effectiveness
