Definition:

Internet of things is the networking of a range of physical devices, appliances, buildings or structures, and other items using web connectivity. In the workplace, this may be buildings with sensors built into lighting or air conditioning to maximise operational efficiency, or wearable technologies to monitor and improve workflows. 

This is helpful for organizations to take as it ensures that employees have a comfortable place to work in, and to also be sure that their wellbeing has been taken into consideration.
