ISO 9001 is “Quality management systems – Requirements” and 9004 is “Quality management systems – Managing for the sustained success of an organisation”. 

Organisations  which meet these standards are eligible for ISO 9000 certification by the International Organization for Standardization; organizations must therefore ensure that they meet the standard in order to obtain the certification.
