Job Classification

[dʒɑb | ˌklæsəfəˈkeɪʃ(ə)n]
Definition:

A job classification is a means of breaking roles within an organization down to specific titles, expected tasks and responsibilities and matching pay grades.

Even Though job classification structures differ from different organizations, the main aim is to determine job description accordingly; it also helps organisations to compare their job descriptions with other organizations within the same field. This is a good practice as it will help employers to write a detailed and good job description.
