Learning Goals

Definition:

Learning goals are desired achievements and intended purposes of a specific course, which generally identifies the capabilities, knowledge and skills of the individual on that course. 

Within a work setting, an employee is given a set of goals  and targets by their line manager to achieve over a period of a time; this could vary, however mostly every 6 months to a year depending on the organization. An employee can also set learning goals if they have enrolled on a course relating to their position which then helps them to perform better in their position.
