Median Wage

[ˈmidiən | weɪdʒ]

A Median Wage is the ‘halfway’ point between the highest and lowest paid workers within an organization, industry or sector; it is a reflection of the average pay and this is because it discounts the extremes at either end of the scale.

This is particularly important within the society due to the gap between the average worker and the salary of senior staff.
