Definition:

A microcredential is a qualification which provides evidence of the learning outcomes that have been acquired through a short or transparently-assessed course; this type of qualification can be awarded for both hard and soft skills, examples include: data analytics, self-management, teamwork, digital marketing and many more.

Within Human Resources, micro- credential is used to provide functional training for employees who are new to a specific field or an employee that is planning to explore a new field within the organization.
