Definition:

Networking refers to an exchange of ideas and information among individual with a special or common interest, which usually happens in a formal setting. Most professionals use networking in order to expand their circle of acquaintances, increase their awareness of news and trends with their fields and job opportunities; organizations also use networking to find new employees or as a marketing strategy to attract more customers/clients to purchase their services (or products).

With the recent pandemic, organizations can now network online which even creates more opportunities globally, meaning that individuals can reach out to clients globally without having to be physically there.
