Definition:

A Professional Employer Organization (PEO),  refers to an organization entering into a joint employment relationship with an employer by leasing the employee. 

This also allows the PEO to manage and share employee related liabilities and responsibilities; it also allows employers the opportunity to outsource their human resources functions such as: employment taxes, worker’s compensation and payroll administration.
