Telehealth is the delivery of health and health-related services through remote technology. This can include patient/doctor consultations over the phone or via video conferencing software, rather than a traditional in-person visit to the office. Many traditionally in-person activities can be accomplished remotely, including monitoring vital signs, checking blood pressure, and more. in the case of mental health appointments, therapists and doctors can assess a patient’s state of mind, provide counseling and/or therapy, discuss symptoms, and make diagnoses from a remote location.
