Definition:

This is a Federal Law, which is against discrimination of employees based on their religion, sex, race and colour. Title VII specifically prohibits discrimination in the following:

  • Terms and conditions of employment
  • Hiring
  • Compensation
  • Employment Benefits
  • Advancement
  • Employment Training
  • Assignments
  • Termination of employment.

Harassment and retaliation are also prohibited under Title VII.
